India is witnessing a period in its history wherein people are discussing and debating issues of gender, sexuality and sex work to a degree that would have been unimaginable even a few years ago. With more and more sexuality minorities coming out in the open, India is forced to acknowledge the presence of diverse genders and sexualities. However there remains a basic lack of information and understanding about sexuality minorities in much of Indian society.
